‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Latest Updates: Director read Winds of Winter? Casting calls in place for show

Game of Thrones Season 6's director may have already read the Winds of Winter. Jack Bender will be directing a couple of episodes from the 6th season of this widely- popular series. When asked if he was able to read an advance copy of George R.R. Martin's book, he responded "Yes". There are now speculations that the actual book will be released sooner than most expected. The show is now preparing to shoot its 6th season by having casting calls.

According to iDigitalTimes, there was an unknown source who shared that Jack Bender has already read Winds of Winter in preparation for Game of Thrones Season 6. However, others claim that he might have confused the TV series' story outline with George R.R. Martin's book.

Meanwhile, the show's fans were shocked and devastated with the death of Jon Snow. Followers assumed that it will not be the last time that they will see him. There are rumors that his character will be back on the next season. Emilia Clarke, as reported by IBTimes, was recently interviewed and shared that she has no idea if the rumors are true. Jon Snow's reappearance is yet to be revealed, perhaps, in the upcoming months.

HBO is now getting ready to shoot for Game of Thrones Season 6. The team is going to film in Girona, Spain. The team is already looking for extras for the upcoming season. As there are a lot of people who would like to get a spot, only 1,200 men and 1,200 women will be screened. The age bracket would be from 18 - 65 years old, should not have tattoos and must have natural hair color. Those who are successful will be filmed on September 3 - 18.

Game of Thrones Season 6 will air on 2016 and Winds of Winter is expected to be released prior the show's premiere.
