For those who are still not satisfied with Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic-romantic masterpiece "Fifty Shades of Grey", another hunk is slated to be introduced in its upcoming sequel. The internet rumor mill is suggesting that Henry Cavill is appearing "Fifty Shades Darker" as the villainous Jack Hyde, when it hits theaters on February 2017.
Henry Cavill might be busy playing the role of the red caped-superhero for DC's multiple film franchises, particularly in the DC Cinematic Universe and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E". But it looks like he is reserving a spot in his busy schedule for another film franchise as according to Latino Post, he is rumored to appear in the highly anticipated "Fifty Shades Darker".
Rumor has it that the "Man of Steel" actor is joining Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the upcoming sequel of "Fifty Shades of Grey", who are playing the characters of the naïve student, Anastasia Steele, and mysterious billionaire, Christian Grey, respectively. Design & Trend predicts that the 32-year-old British actor is taking the role of Jack Hyde, Steele's villainous boss in a publishing company.
It was noted by International Business Times that in the bestselling novel of E.L. James, Ana refuses to work as an intern in Grey's company, Grey Empire. After graduating, she moves from Vancouver to Seattle and joins a publishing house where she attracts her boss Jack Hyde. "Fifty Shades Darker" follows the story of Ana's struggle to avoid her sexually obsessed boss while dealing with her BDSM-practicing love interest. In the novel, Christian buys the publishing company after finding out Jack's tormenting intentions to her girlfriend.
Though there is no confirmation yet with Cavill's inclusion in the sequel, the circulating rumors are already well-received by some, believing he can do justice to the role of Ana's stalker superior who swears revenge after being fired from Seattle Independent Publishing.
Originally, "Fifty Shades Darker" is set to hit the big screen in 2016 but is later on pushed back for a February 10, 2017 debut after director Sam Taylor-Johnson drops the project.
