Kingdom Hearts 3 already has a release date slated by the game's publisher. However, the exact schedule is yet to be announced. As fans speculate, this would be done by Square Enix through an upcoming major event, like that of the D23 Expo in Japan. Apart from the time of launch, more details on the gameplay have been revealed through the Game Director.
In a report from IGN, it was confirmed that the release date has already been decided by Square Enix. The catch is that it is only insider information, and the publisher has yet to decide when they will be announcing this to the public. Meanwhile, fans of the franchise can listen up on the host of information that Tetsuya Nomura has shared in his interviews with Dengeki PlayStation as well as with Famitsu.
As it turns out, more than a release window for Kingdom Hearts 3, with development progressing smoothly, a lot of other features will be shown in November 3's D23 Expo to be held in Japan. For one thing, there will be a lot of additional worlds to the series, apart from Olympus. Followers of the game would already be aware that Tangled will have its place in this installment. In terms of the storyline of Kingdom Hearts 3, Nomura also shared that the plot for Xehanort will come to a close in the third game. Nonetheless, the game will continue to live on despite the conclusion of his arc.
