Persona 5 Release Builds Momentum with New Trailer, Q4 2015 release date announced; New storyline offered as a refreshing development

Katsura Hashino's Persona 5 is certainly a game that fans have been waiting for. The classic-anime-style-meets-next-gen-gaming graphics of the game has picked up the fanatical attention of the gaming community. The game itself is notable for the magnificent anime illustrations translated to the gaming environment, and the fact that although the game is a Shin Megami Tensei franchise, there is a whole different story happening. The key elements that define the Persona series remain, but the storyline is an altogether refreshing development.

At E3 2015, Persona 5 developers have been very careful with revealing too much of the game to avoid spoilers since it has already cultivate a very large following. Atlus PR Manager John Hardin spoke to Polygon that they have yet to reveal too much of anything since the game itself is far from ready, but have already been scheduled for a 2015 launch for PS3 and PS4.

Looking through the recently updated official Persona 5 website though, it just simply looks fantastic. The blood red backdrop lifts the terrific high definition screenshots of gameplay. The quirky black and white text in the website introduces the new Persona plotline and the objectives that await the eagerly anticipating player. While the developers have certainly kept the game from being leaked, the website nevertheless gives a basic outline of the new plot: a high school student develops the Persona ability of the "phantom thief" and embarks on an adventure-filled series of events with his group of misfit friends.

Atlus has also recently released the new Persona 4 dancing game in Japan last Thursday June 25 and while it was not exactly a new Persona series installment altogether, fans still couldn't be more pleased. Persona 4 was released almost 6 years ago, and the new Persona 4 dancing only made the Persona 4 installment all the more endearing. But that's not all. With the release of the new Persona 4 dancing game came the wicked new gameplay trailer for Persona 5 which Kotaku has most generously shared to the gaming community. Check out the new Persona 5 trailer and see for yourself.

Persona 5 will hopefully be gracing the gaming community frontlines by Q4 2015 for both PS3 and PS4 gaming consoles.
