Pop star Britney Spears appear to be feuding with 'Pretty Girls' song collaborator Iggy Azalea. The two have reportedly been throwing fires at each other on Twitter, with some fans involved. The root of their feud was that Iggy Azalea said that their single was poorly promoted. And with her statement, Britney fired back.
The 'Pretty Girls' single sung by Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea which was released this May did not hit the charts, and was even dubbed as flop. According to The Daily Beast, Iggy said that the song was a flop because of poor promotion. Iggy wrote on Twitter "its difficult to send a song up charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately im just featured..."
Two days after Iggy's tweet, Britney shot back with "Can't wait to get back to Vegas. So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to... #YouWanAPieceOfMe" Clearly, Britney knows full well that Iggy had cancelled her Great Escape tour because she 'had a different creative change of heart,' according to Daily Mail UK.
However, it's like there was really no feud that's happening between Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea. "I am honestly not surprised but still really saddened that the media is trying to create a 'beef' between [Spears] and myself. We remain friends and I haven't said anything negative at all about her ... I feel like the media wants women in music to get out and mud wrestle each other. As a woman I take great offense," Iggy wrote on Twitter.
The 'Pretty Girls' song only reached No. 29 on Billboard Hot 100, dissappointing fans. According to Time "It's also believed that the "Pretty Girls" single artwork was changed from "feat. Iggy Azalea" to "& Iggy Azalea" before release."
Iggy Azalea is currently busy preparing for her wedding while engaging in a less sensational Twitter war between her and fellow singer Britney Spears. More Twitter bashing between the two artists as well as their fans are expected to arise till the issue subsides.
