This coming August, Fear the Walking Dead will premiere. It is created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. The latter provided a snapshot of what to expect from the show apart from the fact that it will give the fans an idea on how the zombie outbreak progresses.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Fear the Walking Dead is a family drama. He added, "One of the things that Robert [Kirkman] and I discussed from the very beginning was, we're starting a little earlier in the apocalypse. And what that allowed us to do in the pilot and season 1 is establish our core family, establish the problems and the conflicts that they have, and really let that be the initial world that we live in. And we layer in the onset of the apocalypse, we layer in our first walkers, but it's really an effort to exacerbate the problems that already exist with Kim Dickens' character and Cliff Curtis' character and their sort of dysfunctional blended family. It's really filtering the apocalypse through that."
There are speculations that the Fear the Walking Dead will highlight the unseen stories about the disease that created the zombie outbreak. Perhaps, it will give more meaning on the missing days not seen from The Walking Dead. The showrunner has also added that the two shows are very much intertwined as it happens in the same world. However, that doesn't mean that the characters we know from the first show will be having exposure on the Fear the Walking Dead.
Meanwhile, Heavy has shared the top things you need to know about the much - anticipated show. For one, the original title of the show is 'Cobalt' but was apparently changed to the Fear the Walking Dead. Another important thing about the show is that the setting of the story will be in Los Angeles.
Fans are excited to see what's in store for them at the Fear the Walking Dead this coming August.
