The world biggest comic book celebration, to be held on July 9 to July 12, will feature latest and breaking news on Marvel and DC superheroes along with other comic book characters set to appear on the small screen, in movies or video games. This year, expected conference highlights would be big screen projects for Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Star Wars, as well as upcoming game titles such for Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Assasin's Creed, Call of Duty and more.
In around a week's time, fans will be flocking to the San Diego Convention Center, to learn latest news about their favorite comic book heroes. And while Comic-Con's four days will be jam packed with exciting information, fans and industry experts already have several topics on their "up and coming list". Fortunately Game Revolution compiled a list of Comic-Con's most anticipated game events.
Game fanatics will be treated to four days of exciting updates and reveals. There's Capcom's "Street Fighter 5" panel on Thursday where fans are hoping that the game developers will unveil new characters and secrets for the classic game. Treyarch will finally reveal the most awaited "Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombie World", while "Tekken 7" will be the highlight of Bandai Namco's panel. Other game titles expected to make a Comic-Con appearance includes Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Pillars of Eternity and many more.
Ubisoft, on the other hand, will be building an Assassin's Creed-themed obstacle course at the Comic-Con, reports Gamespot, this is to promote the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. The course features several tasks reminiscent of moves and activities from the Assassin's Creed series. There's wall climbing, the classic high tower jump, and players will also be tasked to hang on a swinging pendulum in order to complete the course.
Meanwhile Comic Book Resources also compiled a list of anticipated big and small screen projects for well loved superheroes. For DC Comic fans, it is a good bet that Warner Bros. will show new footage for "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" as well as new images and clips for "Suicide Squad". Fans are also hoping to see unseen footage from Fox's "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Apocalypse," along with "Fantastic Four," and maybe some early info regarding Channing Tatum's "Gambit." Comic-Con staple "Star Wars" is also expected to have a full plate for their Friday panel titled "Force Awakens".
Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb will be giving fans an all-access pass to upcoming small screen projects such as "Marvel's Agents of Shield" and hopefully a look at "Daredevil: Season 2". On the other hand, DC's television arm and its partners will present the next chapters of "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Gotham" along exciting additions of "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." AMC's "The Walking Dead" panel is one of Comic-Con's beloved events and this year, its companion series "Fear The Walking Dead" will be featured.
These are just some of the conference highlights, many more activities and surprises are in line for the public. What's definite is that the San Diego Comic-Con will be another exciting celebration for comic book fans!
