Final Fantasy 15 Gets Top 2 Spot on Famitsu’s Most Wanted Game Chart; Square Enix Title to Have PC Version?

By

Final Fantasy 15 will be releasing for the Xbox and the PlayStation 4 later this year. With this schedule in mind, PC users are petitioning to get a version for their device too - noting that Square Enix might have already hinted that will, in fact, happen. When it comes to popularity records, the said title gets a nice spot, while another game from the developer falls a few steps behind.

The exact release date for Final Fantasy XV has yet to be announced by Square Enix, although several gamers are already expecting the title within 2015. The initial knowledge of gamers is that the title will be arriving for the PS4 as well as the Xbox One only, leading to PC users wanting a version for them too. Based on a recent report, there has been a petition to make this possible, garnering up to 13,000 signatures already.

Consequently, the developer of the franchise supposedly gave a leak about this through a demo. It is entitled, "Witch - Chapter 0" and it showcases what the Windows 10 is able to do with DirectX 12.

In another games article, it was noted how the Electronic Entertainment Expo brought a surprise for the Final Fantasy series as a remake of the seventh installment is in the works. Another interesting fact regarding this matter is that Tetsuya Nomura, who is the character designer, will be the one to direct this remaster.

In an interview with Famitsu, Nomura shared, "As preproduction went along and I offered my opinions on what I thought should be done, Mr. Kitase would ask me how the individual elements should be adjusted in fine detail... It was very perplexing. Then one day, as I was checking the internal company presentation video it said 'Director Tetsuya Nomura' at the end."

Final Fantasy 15 is set for a 2015 release for the Xbox One and the PS4, and hopefully for the PC as well. Official announcements are likely to arrive in the Gamescom, this August in Germany. Together with Kingdom Hearts 3, the Square Enix titles were able to land the top 2 and 8 for Famitsu's most wanted game charts. There is certainly a lot riding for fans of the franchise, so be sure to check out future updates.
