It's getting more exciting and dramatic in 'Wayward Pines' as the end gets near. The Sci-Fi series will be airing its episode 8 titled, "The Friendliest Place on Earth" on Thursday, July 9, 2015, on FX.
According to it's official synopsis, via CarterMatt, Kate and the group's plan of taking the walls down continue after Ethan has successfully stopped them during the last episode.
Moreover, Ethan is also determined to find out who is the responsible for the horrific act that leaves Amy and his son Ben in critical condition, as reported by Movie News Guide.
As per synopsis of 'Wayward Pines' season 1 episode 8 'The Friendliest Place on Earth': "After an explosion on Main Street leaves two key residents of Wayward Pines in critical condition, Ethan is determined to find out who is responsible for the horrific act. Meanwhile, Harold opts out of the covert operation he and Kate were planning, and Nurse Pam interviews surveillance engineers to find out if there are any workers responsible for falsely reporting activities of any Wayward Pines residents."
Meanwhile, 'Wayward Pines' season 1 has been doing a good job so far in maintaining an audience, despite its ratings or same-day DVR viewing. Deadline reports that the show has posted a record percentage gain in viewers, and is now under consideration for a second-season renewal.
Many viewers also agree that 'Wayward Pines' is the most successful new scripted series of the summer. But this does not mean the show will get a nod for Season 2 renewal.
