After the release of Android 5.1 lollipop earlier this year, Android 5.1.1 lollipop was released last April and now available for several devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6, and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The update is reportedly going to be available for the Galaxy Note 4 because of a leak from SamMobile that had several details regarding the OS update. There are also reports that several Galaxy Note 4 users in Russia have already updated their devices to Android Lollipop 5.1.1.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are getting an Operating System update that fixes several bugs and adds several enhancements to the interface. Gottabemobile reports that: "Sprint's Android 5.1.1 update mirrors the Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 updates that have rolled out for T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and others... Galaxy S6 users will not be able to downgrade to an older version because of changes to the security policy." The 5.1.1 change log also says that the update has stability improvements, bug fixes, new features, and improvements to performance. The Update is quite big being 560mb in size so it may take a while to download and install it. If users own a Galaxy Gear device, they will need to update the Samsung Gear Manager application after applying the update.

The Galaxy Note 4 update is rumored to be coming in sometime this July. A leak was first seen on SamMobile last month and it stated that Samsung was already hard at work on the next Galaxy Note 4 update. The leak showed a screenshot of a Galaxy Note 4 running the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update and it also said that Samsung might be testing a 64-bit build on the Note 4.

There are also reports that Russian Users of the Galaxy Note 4 have already updated to 5.1.1 according to Android Geeks. We can expect that this update will be made available to everyone in just a few weeks.
