Forza Motorsport 6 makes a new mark in the history of the franchise as an entire roster of a particular group of vehicles would be included in the upcoming installment. The Turn 10 Studios game is scheduled to come out in just a few more months, so the growing list of cars to be used in the game is a major treat for racing fans. In addition to this, there is also a snippet that suggests more electric or eco-friendly vehicles will be added as well.
In a recent article on Forza Motorsport 6, it was confirmed by Microsoft that all ten vehicles from the inaugural season of Formula E will be included in the 450-car roster for the game. Nelson Piquet Jr, who is the champion for the 2014/2015 race will lead the line-up of racers in the Spark-Renault SRT_01E group. These are known for their ability to get to 270bhp and 103lb ft of torque, with a max speed of 140mph, as mentioned in the same report.
The cars are equipped with McLaren-sourced MGU motors which allow for quick responses, plus the fact that the race spec entails that they can lead to 202.5bhp. The acceleration, then, points to a range of 0 up to 62mph in just less than 3 seconds. Players should try to imagine how these features will play out seeing that Forza Motorsport 6 intends to give a more realistic feel in the gameplay, which includes improving the surface conditions.
While this is a first in the history of racing video game simulation to feature all the Formula E racers, there have been previous instances when some of them were showcased. For one thing, rFactor, which is an online racing sim, had the series with a mod earlier this year. Needless to say, Forza Motorsport 6 is able to present the more complete roster with championship approval.
It still has yet to be confirmed if the street circuits for the championships will also be part of Forza Motorsport 6. The release date has been slated this September 2015 by Turn 10 Studios.
