Disney's toys-to-life video game Disney Infinity 3.0 has been scheduled for release this August. Disney Infinity 3.0 will be released on August 28 in the UK, August 30 in North America, and September 3 in Australia and New Zealand. The game will be available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U systems.
The year has been great for Star Wars fans Disney has certainly spread the Star Wars franchise well enough to get people excited for the movie building up to the big Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens that hits movie theatres this Christmas, as well as all the collectible editions and games that are part of the Star Wars Intergalactic Universe. Disney Infintiy 3.0 is one such collectible that further gives shape to that Universe. IGN gives details on the contents of the new Star Wars starter pack that will include:
A Star Wars Twilight of the Republic play set
A copy of the game for your console of choice
A transporter base to transport figures into the game
Anakin Skywalker figure
Ahsoka Tano figure
A code to access mobile content
Focus is mostly on Star Wars but Disney will also be releasing a range of other Disney Infinity versions. In addition to the Star Wars Twilight of the Republic Play Set starter pack, separate Star Wars figures can be purchased in the form of Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Star Wars Rebels s will also be available, as well as a Star Wars Saga Starter Pack. Gamespresso has compiled a full list of the available non-Star Wars starter pack that includes Disney Pixar's Inside Out Play Set with additional standalone figures, Disney figures in the form of lovalble Disney characters inclduing Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mulan, and Frozen's Olaf, as well as a Tomorrowland Power Disc Pack.
Disney has also confirmed that they will be releasing more sets in the months ahead, and all versions of Disney Infinity playsets will be compatible with one another. GameRant has kept a lookout however and spotted a teaser from Disney at this year's SDCC: a possible Ant-Man version for Disney Infinity 3.0. The teaser has yet to be confirmed, but it will certainly be an interesting addition to the Marvel universe of Disney Infinity 3.0.
