'Attack On Titan Part 2' Movie Update: Ending Scenes Will Link To Anime's Second Season; Movie Set For September Release

The final film of the two-part, live-action adaptation of the "Attack on Titan" anime series, will include a never-before-seen ending clip that links the movie to next year's second TV anime season. The film is slated to debut in Japanese theaters on September 19.

The fans of the hit anime "Attack on Titan" have been waiting for the series' second season to premiere for years now. Ever since it was announced that its next season will be launched some time in 2016, not much information about the series has come out. Fortunately, the compilation movie of the show is reportedly giving a sneak peek of what the anime's second season has in store for its fans.

iDigital Times reports that the final half of the two-part compilation film is adding a new never-before-seen footage at its closing credits that will directly link to the anime's season 2. It was noted earlier that the first movie has featured the 13 episodes of the TV anime show's first season. Now, its final film that will finish compiling season 1 will be including an extended clip at the end that will give a preview to what will happen next in the TV show.

Based on the manga and anime series of the same name, "Attack on Titan" follows humanity's struggle for protection against the threat of massive man-eating giants known as Titans. According to Tech Times, the story centers a group of citizens who collaborates with their city's armed forces to drive back the Titans after a never before seen "Colossal Titan" breaches the walls.

The first compilation film is slated to premiere in Japanese theaters on August 1, while its part two will open on September 19.
