Microsoft Lumia 940, 940 XL Running Windows 10 to in September? Rumored List Price Higher than Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6

There are rumours spreading over the internet about the upcoming high-end Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL models courtesy of Dutch website. Base on online reports, the two high-end devices will be equipped with a polycarbonate build. Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL is also rumoured to launch in September this year.

Probably, consumers would think that this pair would be cheaper than the rival high-end smartphones like the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6. However, there are speculations that the Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL will be at a premium price than the rival devices iPhone 6 that starts at $699, and Galaxy S6 that starts at $599.

According to the online reports, the Microsoft Lumia 940 is expected to have a 5.2 inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution that works out to a 424 ppi pixel density. Reported to have the platform OS of Microsoft Windows 10 with chipset Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808. Internal memory is equipped with a 32GB expandable storage and a 3GB of RAM.

Camera features a 1/2.5'' sensor size and 1.12 µm pixel size with PureView technology, dual capture, geo-tagging, face detection, and panorama. It is rumoured to have 5MP front camera and 20MP rear camera with double LED flash that takes well in low light places.

Reports have shown that the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL have bigger screen size of 5.7 inch with a 1440 x 2560 resolution that works out to a 565 ppi pixel density which have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Reported to have the same platform OS of Microsoft Windows 10 with chipset Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810.

With the same internal memory equipped of 32GB expandable storage and a 3GB of RAM in Lumia 940. Rear camera have 20 MP with 4992 х 3744 pixels. It also feature Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, autofocus, and dual-LED flash for low light condition.

If these rumours are to come true, Microsoft fans would be disappointed because of the defeated specs by its rival smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6. Probably, consumers might get much disappointment with Microsoft Lumia 940, 940 XL price that starts $800.
