The cast of the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 took to the 35th Comic Con last July 9, 2015 in San Diego, California to talk about the franchise's latest film. Highlights included the release of the exclusive teaser trailer for the film, emotional farewells from the cast and crew as well as a peek at actress Jennifer Lawrence's new yet highly inaccurate H20 tattoo.
According to Nerd Reactor, the panel was composed of Hunger Games' cast and crew - director Francis Lawrence, producer Nina Jacobsen, and actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Willow Shields.
After introductions by talk show host Conan O'Brien, Francis Lawrence presented the audience with a first look at the new Mockingjay Part 2 trailer. The two-minute long trailer by Lionsgate Entertainment showed scenes of Katniss Everdeen and District 13's march against the Capitol and President Snow.
The "Stand With Us" propaganda ad trailer were also shown - much to the audience's delight - showing Katniss dressed top to toe in her new red mocking jay outfit against an all-white military drum line.
In a report by Hit Fix, the panel went on in casual interaction, with the actors and crew talking about production and reminiscing about their four-year old journey together and O'Brien touching on each character in the film. As it neared the end, J. Lawrence was asked how she felt about saying goodbye to her character Katniss.
She said, "I think that the changes that happened in my life are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye to her. She feels like she's part of me."
It was also in Comic Con that she debuted her newly procured body art - a tattoo that read H20. According to the Daily Mail, the 24-year old actress was well aware of her version of the chemical formula of water being inaccurate.
She admitted, "I should have Googled it before I got it tattooed on my body forever." She told reporters that the tattoo was the result of bonding with co-actor Hemsworth, which fueled new relationship rumors between the two.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will premiere in theaters by November 20, 2015. It is the franchise's powerful final chapter with Katniss facing off with President Snow not just for survival but for the future of Panem.
