Sneak previews of Wayward Pines' season finale show a possible end for the town residents. The final episode will show us how the town residents will survive the Abbies' attacks as well as how Pilcher can further keep Wayward Pines' secrets to himself.

Wayward Pines episode 10 has been dubbed as more of a survival episode as it will be showcasing a climactic showdown between the town residents and the Abbies ready to enter the town after Pilcher deactivates the town's electric fences. Movie News Guide says series protagonist Ethan (played by Matt Dillon) along with Kate (played by Carla Gugino) will have to do everything they can to survive while ensuring the safety of the residents of Wayward Pines.

The International Business Times did a recap of the pre-finale episode noting that Pilcher's actions and desire to keep the town's secrets to himself could lead to the ultimate downfall of Wayward Pines. After Ethan's attempt at exposing Wayward Pines' secrets to the residents, Pilcher made the decision to shut down the town's electrical source. The pre-finale episode shows its viewers that Pilcher also appears quite suicidal as he is willing to take the town's secrets with him to his grave.

The finale survival episode, as further explained by Movie New Guide, will also show the viewers how the First Generation of Wayward Pines will try and come up with ways to protect the town and ensuring that it has a future. Meanwhile, Ethan promises Ben (played Charlie Tahan), that they will survive and make it out alive. In addition, Pilcher is confronted by Nurse Pam (played by Melissa Leo) as she tries to convince him to save the town instead of destroy it.

Will the townspeople of Wayward Pines survive the onslaught of the Abbies? Catch the epic season 1 finale this July 23 on FOX.
