'Vikings' season 4 will have fresher looks and vibes. Series creator Michael Hirst, along with crew and cast members, is not too shy to reveal things to expect in the upcoming season. Hirst revealed the season 4's new characters and location. Ragnar is also expected to have new love interest. And, Harbard will return with more chaos.
The cast and crew of 'Vikings' have delighted fans by attending the recently concluded San Diego Comic 2015. In fact, lots of juicy spoilers were out and Season 4 is expected to bring a new level of intensity.
'Vikings' creator Michael Hirst gave some details about the three new characters joining the season 4. The show had added Peter Franzen as Scandinavian warrior King Harald Finehair; Jasper Paakkonen as Finehair's younger brother, Halfdan the Black; and Dianne Doan as Yidu, a new and unique Chinese character.
Design & Trends notes that the new Viking brothers will be joining the King of Denmark in another attempt to raid Paris.
As for Doan's character Yidu, Christian Today reveals that she will have major role in Ragnar's life. It is speculated that Ragnar will have a new woman. Although it was not confirmed, many believed that Yidu could be the new love interest of Ragnar.
"A very talented actress," teased Travis Fimmel during the panel. "We've been working a lot lately. I think it's going to be a unique relationship."
As far as location is concerned, England will still be a big part of 'Vikings' season 4. It was previously reported that Paris will be the new major setting. However, fans will still see more of Linus Roache's King Ecbert and other characters in England.
Meanwhile, a familiar face is confirmed to return in 'Vikings' season 4. Kevin Durand's enigmatic the Wanderer is set to return, according to Franchise Herald.
While Durand isn't giving away any details about Harbard's return just yet, he teases in an interview with Zap2it, "I create more chaos."
