'Aquaman' lead actor Jason Momoa, best known as Khal Drogo in epic HBO series 'Game of Thrones' and slated to play the lead role in upcoming superhero film.has recently made headlines for a controversial autograph involving Marvel. Also another HBO staple, actor Adrien Grenier talks about making a cameo in the film.
The movie may still be in the works but Momoa came under fire for a notorious signed autograph which drew indignation from comic book fans of Marvel. According to Franchise Herald, Momoa was approached by a fan during the autograph signing portion of Indiana Comic Con several months ago with what allegedly was a question of what he would write down for DC comic haters so they would join the DC universe. He allegedly replied with the words "F--- Marvel."
This in turn blew up all over the internet prompting the actor to explain the expletive in the Montreal Comic Con. He clarified that it was merely a joke blown out of proportion, that he was only asked to write the words and that he was a huge fan of Marvel himself. Twitter user Tron Vin provided the information. According to Cross Map, the incident has prompted Momoa not to do personalized dedications anymore.
In a fictitious version of the film of the same name directed by James Cameron (who played himself) in HBO series 'Entourage', the character played by Adrian Grenier named Vincent Chase played the title role of Aquaman.
According to Comicbook.com, Grenier may make an appearance in the real live-action film adaptation of the comic book series. In his interview with MTV UK, he stated that he would do it as long as his 'Entourage' co-actor Kevin Dillon can have a part in it as well. He said, "I would do it if Johnny Drama can have a part as well... I always imagined Aquaman to be a little more fluid - more like a dolphin, less of a whale."
'Aquaman' is a spin-off solo character film under Warner Bro.'s shared DC Cinematic Universe to be released on July 27, 2018. It is an adventure science fiction film under the direction of James Wan, best known for films such as 'Saw', 'The Conjuring' and 'Furious 7'. The character's first appearance will be on 'Justice League - Part One' as the ruler of Atlantis committed on protecting the whole world.
