Lenovo to Release ZUK Z1 Phone with 5'5" Display Screen, 64-bit Snapdragon Processor, LTE

Recently, ZUK announced to its Weibo page a press conference that will be held on August 8 to unveil the ZUK Z1 device. The reports say that Lenovo plays a significant role in the availability of ZUK Z1.

The new Lenovo ZUK Z1 comes with 5.5" multitouch Z1 where 64 bit Snapdragon processor (SOC TBC), 3GB of RAM features will be included too. The device will be having three rom configurations 16/32/64gb. Also, the mobile gadget is packed with a 13MP back camera with LED flash that will support 4G LTE connectivity. Moreover, the flagship boasts U-Touch fingerprint scanner that is embedded in the home button for easy unlocking of the screen through a simple swipe.

What's more, ZUK Z1 will reportedly pre-install the Android 5.1 Lollipop, and Cyanogen OS will run on top of it. Interestingly, the CyanogenMod was also mentioned by the sources, does this indicate of having more than one variant of the device?

According to Phonearena, Lenovo ZUK Z1 will be one of the first smartphones to utilize the USB Type-C 3.0 port that speeds up and battery charging and data transfers. When it comes to its batteries, a 4000+mAh cell will be equipped to the ZUK Z1 which indicates wall hugging won't be required.

In August, The ZUK Z1 is expected to land and will support the following networks: GSM/EDGE (2, 3, 5, 8); CDMA - BC0; UMTS - 1, 2, 5, 8; CDMA2000 - BC0, TD-SCDMA - 34, 39; TDD - 39, 40, 41(38); FDD - 1, 3, 7.

As for its pricing concerns, one rumor says that the Lenovo ZUK Z1 will be offered at the equivalent of $300 USD. So far, ZUK seems to be listed on the site of Chinese e-commerce company JD.com. The latter has shaken hands with ZUK on a partnership, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will only be having an exclusive listing. In fact, another report states that Lenovo will reportedly issue the phone throughout their branches all over Europe.
