Rebel Wilson has began a NO (refined) SUGAR challenge at the beginning of July. Pitch Perfect actress has started strong but apparently, accepted defeat and fell off the wagon after 20 days.
Aussie comedy actress Rebel Wilson has embarked on a challenge for herself on the very first day of the month. In a tweet, 35 year old Rebel announced to her fans and followers saying: "I'm starting a 'no sugar' challenge starting today!! I'll let you guys know how long I last for!! X."
During the course of the challenge, she has been Tweeting progress with her hilarious no-sugar "diary", updating everyone. In true comedian fashion, one of her side-splitting post is a Tweet of her selfie in a Dubai desert, captioning it: "No sugar today but plenty of desert."
But just after a quick strapping 20 days, the blonde actress seemed to be shaken and fell off the bandwagon. In another Tweet, Rebel admitted that she has lost the challenge. She gave in to sugar - ice cream and Mars bar after a crazy and frightening taxi accident but back on wagon.
The Sarah Wilson or the no refined sugar diet became a popular fad among celebrities. The diet that has taken Hollywood by storm is an eight-week program. In the first six weeks, the diet advises cutting out all sugar, including fruit, to allow your body to recalibrate. After these initial weeks, the diet encourages reintroducing some low-fructose fruit while monitoring your body's reaction.
Naomi Campbell, Eva Longoria, and Tom Hanks are some of the other celebrities who have embarked on the challenge.
In 2012, the well-rounded actress was with Jenny Craig program but ended her agreement with the weight loss giant before reaching her target goal, which was shedding 20kg. The actress believed that America is more endeared to her full figure and that she has been landing more roles with it.
The Sidney-born Rebel broke out in the United States with the blockbuster Bridesmaids. Her most recent big screen outing is in the hit comedy film Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 , where she played a character called "Fat Amy".
