Nicki Minaj Taylor Swift Feud After MTV VMAs Snub, Kim Kardashian Accidentally Got Involved

By

Nicki Minaj and Taylor swift are enmeshed in a Twitter feud after the Anaconda rapper turned to Twitter for MTV Video Music Awards snub. Kim Kardashian got involved accidentally when she posted a picture quoting his husband's "Imma let you finish but..." which set the fans ablaze as they thought the reality star is shading with Minaj.

On Tuesday night, Nicki Minaj expressed her frustration on 2012 MTV VMAs. She was not nominated for Video of the Year for her song Anaconda. Tweeting a series of shout outs, Minaj expressed her disappointments on what according to her is the white media. Being a black artist, she said that she is not confident but tired that black women influence pop culture so much but are rarely rewarded for it. She stated that if she was a different "kind" of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well.

Super Bass singer added: "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

This rubbed off Taylor Swift the wrong way and called on Minaj with a rather emotionally wounded retort. Swift was nominated for Best Video, while Minaj was not. Swift thought Minaj was unfairly directing blame for the snub at her, when Minaj should really be blaming one of the men nominated for the said award.

Kim Kardashian got involved in the feud accidentally. Apparently, she was in a wrong time when she shared photos from her Vogue Spain photo shoot and captioned one of them, "Imma let you finish but..." It set the social media ablaze as fans assumed she was siding with Nicki. Coincidentally, in the 2009 VMAs, Kim's husband Kanye West disrupted Taylor Swift with the same quote on her speech as she received the Best Female Video Award and proclaimed that Beyonce deserved it better.

Sincerely unaware to Tuesday afternoon's feud between the two stars, Kim, 34, made it clear that it was purely coincidence.

Minaj has also quickly responded on feud issue and stated that her Tweets are nothing to do with Taylor Swift whom she performed alongside with "Super Bass" at the Speak Now tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift humbly apologized to Minaj for calling her out. Swift tweeted Thursday that she thought she was being called out by Minaj. The singer added: "I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki."

All's well that ends well. Nicki accepted her apology through a tweet saying it (apology) meant so much to her. She said: "I've always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let's move on."
