Microsoft to impose automatic Windows 10 updates to users' inactivated systems until 2025

An automatic update of Microsoft Windows 10 will be forced on the home users system that cannot be inactivated. Home users of Windows 10 will have no choice but to agree with automatic system updates terms and conditions.

The company gambles on staying power, pushing its newest OS of having full decade of updates. According to reports, Microsoft requires a mandatory update on Windows 10 until 2025. Windows 10 is assumed to be the last distinctive version of Windows which indicates that Microsoft wishes to get everyone, progressed. Probably, it's the reason why it offers the upgrade free at first then you'll be trapped.

The Professional and Enterprise versions of Windows 10 will be having more control over the installation of updates. The end user license agreement (Eula) includes a clause within it that says,"By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice."

A situation where an update halts something on a computer system, perhaps a legacy program may also be caused by the automatic updates on Windows 10. Currently, present users can still stop updates happening and uphold function.

Windows 8.1 which is the previous versions of Windows allows its users for having numerous options on dealing with software updates such as the ability to turn them off completely.

Whereas in Windows 10, the selections are divided into two: check, download, install, and reboot automatically; and check, download, install automatically and then choose to reboot.

The updates from arstechnica stated that the software will intermittently check the system and app updates and will download and install them for its users. The updates may only be obtained from Microsoft or authorized sources and users' system may need to be updated by Microsoft first to provide them with those updates.

This update will serve as a prominent change in any version of Windows and it take a specific significance because of Windows 10's Windows-as-a-Service concept. Aside from security fixes, automatic installation, it will be having a steady stream of feature updates, too, since new capabilities and features have been added by Microsoft to its operating system.
