Connor Jessup, Angelique Rivera join ‘American Crime’ season 2; Hope Davis plays a special role

The latest 'American Crime' season 2 spoilers hint that a lot of new faces and characters will be seen in the upcoming season of ABC TV series. The show's latest addition is Connor Jessup from 'Falling Skies'. He will be joining with also newcomers Angelique Rivera, Joey Pollari and Hope Davis. Davis, who has no character name yet, is said to play an interesting character.

'American Crime' season 2 will premiere with lots of new characters. It was previously reported that Joey Pollari has been contracted to play Eric Lupton, a basketball player from a working-class background whose life is "publicly torn apart following accusations made in the wake of a school party."

TVLine reports that the show has added two new faces- Connor Jessup and Angelique Rivera. Jessup, who has just signed a contract for a year, will play Connor Blaine. As per TV series creator, his character is "a young man at the center of accusations that roil two high schools along socio-economic lines."

Aside from Jessup, Rivera is also casted as Evy Dominguez. Her character is said to be "the sole witness to a crime whose testimony could alter the lives of several young men who stand accused."

'American' Season 2 is also reportedly to focus on "sexual identity and the class divisions between one town's public and private high schools," as reported by Deadline.

Apart from them, a newcomer, Hope Davis of 'Wayward Pines', is also set to bring more excitement in the next season. Although her character is still unnamed this time, it is said that Davis will probably get an interesting role like the building inspector, according to AV Club. It was also added that the show creator has set the bar high for the upcoming season because of the recent slew of Emmy nominations.
