The Man of Steel and the Cape Crusader are set to battle it out in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Tao Okamoto confirmed to play as Lex Luthor's assistant, Mercy Graves while director Zack Snyder's son is rumored to make a cameo appearance.
Batman and Superman are set to go against each other in the upcoming movie, but other heroes like Jason Momoa's Aquaman, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman are also expected to make an appearance. Recent casting news also confirmed actress Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves in the story. Graves is Lex Luthor's (to be played by Jesse Eisenberg) assistant and body guard. Batman v Superman.
Aside from Okamoto, director Zack Snyder's son, Eli Snyder is also rumored to appear in the movie. The young Synder is rumored to play the role of the dead Robin in the movie. In the trailer, a shot of Robin's burnt costume can be seen with the words "Haha! Joke's on you, Batman!" written on it. In this part of the movie, Robin was already presumed dead, and the death of the Boy Wonder is said to be of The Joker's doing. Having stated that, Eli Snyder is said to appear in the movie in the form of flashbacks, as well as Jared Leto as the Crown Prince of Crime.
But before Batman v Superman hits theaters, the two can be seen in Empire's latest cover, with Affleck and Cavill in their costumes. The latest issue also includes Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman's alter ego, Diana Prince, and other behind the scenes photos from the movie.
The movie will reportedly center on the two heroes as they go against each other, and the entry of a new enemy, putting mankind in a greater danger. "Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before." the movie's synopsis says.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and David Goyer. It is set to hit theaters in March 25, 2016.
