'Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F' is the 19th animated film in the 'Dragon Ball' franchise. Its English-dubbed version will have an exclusive premiere for North America set for August 3, 2015 in New York ahead of its limited screening from between August 4 and 12. FUNimation has also recently released two exclusive English featurettes for the film.

According to Cross Map, FUNimation's Mike DuBoise stated that their tickets are selling out faster than the previous 'Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods'. With the successful mainstream reception in Japan last April 18, 2015, it can only be expected that fans would scramble to see Goku and his nemesis battle it out since the English-dubbed version will only be up for a limited screening.

DuBoise said, "The response to Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' has been incredible and advance ticket sales have already far exceeded last year's movie." The article also stated that a special pre-show of the latest 'Dragon Ball Z' animated movie will be at 42nd Street Entertainment Center in New York City on August 3, 2015 at 6:30 pm in AMC Empire 25.

According to Franchise Herald, the exclusive premiere will be attended by voice actors Sean Schemmel and Christopher R. Sabat who play Goku and Vegeta respectively. CEO and Founder of FUNimation Gen Fukunaga explained why the production company chose New York as their host city. She said, "New York City is home to one of our biggest fan communities and was one of our top cities with last year's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods."

Film production company FUNimation is the largest American company in charge of the distribution of anime and other foreign entertainment properties across North America. According to Flickering Myth, they have just released two video featurettes presenting the English voice actors for Goku and Vegeta answering inquiries from fans.

'Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F' is directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro with screenplay by original creator Akira Toriyama. The 'Dragon Ball Z' franchise follows the story of main protagonist Goku who defends the planet Earth from intergalactic invaders. The upcoming film will focus on the revival of a once defeated enemy Freiza by means of collective dragon balls and his imminent battle for revenge against Goku and his allies.
