'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' will screen in 80 theatres in the United States starting on October 10, 2015. The film will still be in Japanese but it will have English subtitles. Previews of the official movie book by Masahi Kishimoto has also been recently released online. This will be given away in screenings around Japan next month.
According to Threeifbyspace.net, VIZ Media partnered with Eleven Arts to bring 'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' to North American shores. VIZ Media is the largest distributor, producer and licensor of manga and anime in the continent while Eleven Arts is an L.A.-based film distribution company. A tentative list of countries with their respective movie theaters have also been released including ones in Arizona, California, Illinois, New York, Texas and Washington.
In an article by Anime News Network, a website called Comic Natalie released an excerpt from the bonus booklet moviegoers will be offered during the Japan screening of the upcoming animated film. Two million copies will be given away in participating movie theaters. The book features a manga short drawn by creator Masahi Kishimoto entitled, 'The Day Naruto Became A Hokage'. The preview showed the character Kakashi Hatake - the sixth Hokage - presenting Naruto Uzumaki as the seventh Hokage in a village ceremony.
Comic Book Resources reports that the movie book will also include the original series' final chapter in full color. In addition to the already generous treat, lucky audience members will be given the chance to choose between two limited-edition fans also designed by Kishimoto.
'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' tells the story of Boruto, Naruto's son with Hinata Hyuga. In the animated film, he rejects his father and aims to surpass his skills and even his reputation as a hero. He seeks training under Naruto's friend Sasuke Uchiha as an apprentice. It is the film series' 11th animated installment to be released in Japan on August 7, 2015 and in the USA on October 10, 2015.
