Tyra Banks swirled news in the media last month when she made a rather contentious "slimmer than slim" comment on her Instagram. However, when reached for explanation on the issue, the former model made shocking revelations when she told that she doesn't even know who Behati Prinsloo is.
E! News reached out to the 41-year-old TV personality, Banks during the "America's Next Top Model Cycle 22" premiere in L.A. on Tuesday to clear up her controversial remarks last month. Banks made even unexpected disclosure to the magazine saying"I don't know Behati's body type, but she sounds Indian and gorgeous..."
The former model was seen striking the red carpet wearing tight red asymmetric dress. She paired it with slim lace-up heels and finishes her look with simple makeup and accessories, and red lips.
Banks stated that she was proud to be a model during her generation when she can completely be herself. She thinks being a model today is harder than during her days. The former model claimed that they are "too thin." Banks also dissed about why models these days need to be so fashionable all the time and have to maintain their status in the social media.
Banks mentioned well known models including Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn, but made quite bold remarks when she claimed that she is not familiar with Behati Prinsloo.
Tyra Banks comment comes a week after she made a remarkable Instagram post on models of today. Banks wrote, "I think I was a size 6, not a size 0.' She added later, 'They have to be slimmer than slim. Skinnier than skinny," Daily Mail reports.
When asked about the rumors that she has some misunderstanding with her co-host in upcoming "FABLife", food writer Chrissy Teigen, Banks only replied that she is not feuding with any people she hires.
Tyra Banks will be seen working with Teigen in the forthcoming ABC new syndicated talk show, FABLife" which will be seen on Sept.14 according to ABC Action News. The talk show will feature discussion on topics including food, fashion, decoration and more. Tyra Banks' "America's Next Top Model Cycle 22" will be slated on August 5.
