Recently, Google has added a new page to its Nexus Security support which lists a new feature called "warning about operating system safety." Though it remains unconfirmed, this feature is expected to be part of Android M.
This Google Operating System Safety Warnings in Android M will check the Android device while booting to guarantee that the OS is safe enough. In a more elaborated report from NDTV gadgets, the support page describes this as, once an Android device has turned on, the operating system is checked to ensure that it's safe to use. This indicates that the code running on your device hasn't been changed or corrupted and it comes from a trusted source.
The company has not yet passed any confirmation whether the forthcoming Android M update will equip this verified boot system. However, the Company is speculated for being busy developing the test OS, thus, the Google Operating System Safety Warnings in Android M are expected to be included when the OS launches later this year.
Now, here are the three types of warning messages that will be shown by the Google Operating System Safety Warnings in Android M.
First is the Yellow warning which indicates that "Your device has loaded a different operating system."The yellow warning will show up whenever the device boots an OS that is different from what was originally installed in it. This means you are likely running a third-party ROM.
Second is the color orange warning message which indicates that "Your device, software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader. " Whenever your bootloader is unlocked, this warning message will show up, and therefore the OS cannot be checked to ensure that it is safe to use.
Third is the red warning message which indicates that "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." Nobody would like to see this message show up on your screen for this is the ultimate warning on the system. If this one appears, it warns that your device is not safe to use, not trusted and corrupted. In this case, theOS could still work in Android M, however, the chances of encountering performance and security issues are set high.
