Bates Motel season 4 is looking to be one very interesting season as a major character death is in the works for the next season. Vera Farmiga's Norma Bates may meet her demise sometime in season 4. While it is too early to determine her cause of death there are reports that Norman could quite possibly be the one to end her life.
The all-new season of Bates Motel will soon reach a turning point, according to the Latin Post. The spoilers for Bates Motel season 4 have revealed that Norma Bates will be killed off in the series and it has been rumored that her son Norman would be the one to murder his mother. However, no one is still quite sure as it has been shown over the past seasons that a lot of the people in the town are quite hateful towards Norma.
There were also reports that Norma could be killed by Sheriff Romero himself. This is an interesting development in the upcoming season since they have been romantically linked since the start of the show. Dylan Massett (Max Thieriot) and Emma Decody (Olivia Cooke) will also have their romantic moment in the upcoming season 4. Fans will remember Dylan raising money for the lung operation of Emma.
Fans can certainly expect Bates Motel season 4 to pick up right where season 3 left off as the series showrunner Kerry Ehrin revealed that unlike the previous season, this new season will not be experiencing a time jump and will instead keep the momentum of the series going by continuing the events of season 3. This is because, according to what Ehrin revealed in a Design and Trend report, a lot of the events in season 3 are in need of closure which will be developed further in season 4. This already includes the aforementioned death of Norma, Norman's descent into madness as his mental instability worsens, and the relationship between Dylan and Emma.
Bates Motel season 4 will also serve as a season that would showcase Norman's transformation into a psychopath. Rob Sharenow, the Executive Vice President of A&E Network even remarked on how this new season and even the seasons to come will showcase the more evil side of Norman.
Bates Motel season 4 is set to premiere sometime in the year 2016.
