The Samsung's slimmest smartphone Galaxy A8 has just been launched in India and priced at Rs 32,500. The Galaxy A8 said to be the most high-end smartphone in the Galaxy A series, replacing the Galaxy Alpha.
According to timesofindia, the high-end Galaxy A8 flagship features a 5.7-inch full HD (1080x1920p) Super AMOLED display, which is the biggest in the series. Sammobile also reports that instead of Snapdragon 615 the device utilizes Exynos 5430 octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
The NDTVgadgets also claimed the Samsung handset of swanking metal side bezels, near bezel-less screen which looks the same from the one that can also found in the flagship Galaxy S6 from the front. Moreover, the company has still achieved to squeeze in a fingerprint sensor, which also doubles as the home button, despite of its slim profile.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and includes two Nano-SIM slots, where one serves as a microSD card slot as well. This indicates that either a dual-SIM support without a microSD card storage expansion or a single-SIM support with microSD card expansion can be acquired by the users.
When it comes to its camera, Sammobile reports that a new 16-megapixel sensor is featured on its primary camera along with a single-LED flash and an aperture of f/1.9. On the other hand, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens, similar to most of the recently released smartphones from the company was reported to be equipped in this device and said to be different from other Galaxy A series.
The recently launched Galaxy A8 in India comes with a 32GB internal storage, that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB), NDTV gadgets reports. This new Samsung's mobile gadget was is said to be worked by a 3050mAh battery, where the company provides a standby time (4G TDD LTE + 2G GSM) of up to 304 hours.
Furthermore, the site also added that the Galaxy A8 handset weighs 10 grams more than its precursor - 151 grams with the measure of 158x76.8x5.9mm. Both Band 3 and Band 40 were reportedly being supported by the Galaxy A8, and this means that it is well-matched with 4G networks being installed in India today.
