Hayley Atwell's Peggy is heading to California when ABC's "Agent Carter" returns for its second season. Some fans are wishing that the agent will find a new love interest next season but Atwell wishes to see Peggy join a musical more than anything else.
Atwell sat down with The Mary Sue during the CTV Upfront in Toronto, where she revealed that she dreams to see Peggy showcase her singing and dancing skills in a musical when the second season of "Agent Carter" premieres on ABC.
"I'd like to do a kind of bit of a sing and a dance!" Atwell said. "I just have this vision of her on top of a dive bar with a piano, singing with a glass of whiskey in her hand. I just love that idea."
Aside from seeing Peggy in a musical, the actress also wants to see more of the humorous side of her character.
"I'd just love to see more of her humor, her warm side," she says. "I think that's something the audience likes so I want to bring that out a little bit more."
However, the actress knows that her musical dream for Peggy would never materialize and finding her new love interest is more likely to happen in the series.
TVLine recently talked to Atwell and James D'Arcy during San Diego Comic-Con, where the two hinted the possibility of Peggy meeting a new romantic partner. D'Arcy even teased that there could be two love interest for the Marvel agent.
International Business Times reported that the new romantic partner could be not as hunk as Steve Rogers after the experiment since Peggy fell for the soldier even when he's still skinny.
Executive producer Tara Butters said they wanted to make sure that Peggy's new guy is different from Steve since Peggy is not "going to fall for the same guy all the time."
"Agent Carter" season 2 may not see Peggy in a musical to show her singing and dancing skills but it may introduce the new man in the agent's life.
