Chronicles of Narnia: Silver Chair script news confirmed to be hoax; Producer promises fans sequel will be "made the way it should be"

Even though the news about the completion of the script turned out to be a hoax, Chronicles of Narnia: Silver Chair producer Douglas Gresham promised fans that he will try to make the film the way it should be made. Sequel to focus on Eustace Scrubb and Aslan in finding King Caspian's son.

Fans of the famous franchise got excited when the news about the completed script came out weeks ago. The news was even reported by NarniaWeb.com and NarniaFans.com fansites, and said that writer David Magee allegedly tweeted that the he has already finished the script for the movie.

However, according to Examiner, the news was proven as a hoax, and the twitter accounts who were thought to be owned by Magee was confirmed as a hoax by the official Narnia Twitter page.

The famous franchise' official Facebook page also reportedly posted clarifications saying that Magee does not have any Twitter account. They also confirmed that Magee is writing the script for the movie, but it has not been finished yet.

Meanwhile, as reported by The Gospel Herald, producer Douglas Gresham promised that they will make the film in a way that it should be done. Gresham reportedly admitted that the upcoming film will be a different turn compared to the previous films in the franchise.

"We are sort of doing it as an independent production using a production partnership with another company. We have got some wonderful people doing it. We are going to try to do this [film] ourselves and do it the way we all believe it should be done." Gresham said. Aside from that the producer also reportedly added that he will try not to make any flops in the upcoming movie.

As for the upcoming film's plot, according to Screenrant, the movie will be set several decades after the events in the Dawn Treader, but only a year in real world. King Caspian is much older now, and will ask for Aslan's help to find his missing son. The powerful mystical creature later recruits the Pevensie children's cousin, Eustace Scrubb, and his friend Jill Pole to help him in the mission.

According to the report, major recasting is likely to be done since actor Will Poulter, who played the role of Eustace in the previous movies have grown old, and does not fit playing the role of a school-aged boy anymore. Another is also needed to play the role of the older King Caspian.

Details are scarce about the cast, crew, or release date have been revealed yet as the movie is still in its early stages of production. More details about Chronicles of Narnia: Silver Chair are expected to be released in the coming months.
