More often than not, game developers will be creating and releasing patches to fix bugs that are present in the game. That's not the case for Blizzard Entertainment. The developer has prepared patch 2.3.0 that is set to introduce enhancements to "Diablo 3" which includes changes to the adventure mode, particularly on bounties, rifts and crafting.
Blizzard released another patch 2.3.0 preview Tuesday, August 4, which features a more simplified method of crafting items. According to Segment Next, the developers seemed to have listened to numerous player feedback on how crafting items are too expensive to construct in "Diablo 3". To address this concern, patch 2.3.0 will remove an entire tier of crafting materials, including Common Debris, Exquisite Essences, Iridescent Tears, Demonic Essences, and Fiery Brimstones.
The cost of crafting, in general, has also been reduced. This is especially true for an item or gear that is intended for use while leveling, or to help the player gear up when first hitting level 70. Aside from these, Blizzard has also trimmed the list of crafting recipes for both the Blacksmith and the Jeweler. Each artisan level will have a smaller pool of recipes although there would still be a good mix of different gear types to craft.
Meanwhile changes to the Bounties and Rifts will reportedly make "Diablo 3" more fun and accessible, respectively, stated PCGamesN. Nephalim rifts will be open to players of all levels and difficulty, without a need for a special key to access the game. Greater rift keys are also now down to a single universal type. These rift changes were introduced given that Blizzard has removed the Realm of Trials.
Bounties, on the other hand, will no longer require a Rift Fragments to enter particularly for Nephalim rifts. More bonus rewards will be given that bounties will now be the primary source of gold and crafting materials.
The last "Diablo 3" patch 2.3.0 preview item that game developers shared are the changes to the Infernal Machine event. Players no longer need to craft Hellfire Machines and each Keywarden now has a chance to drop an appropriate Infernal machine.
Game developers have included more details about the upcoming patch 2.3.0, to check out the full list, head on over to the "Diablo 3" website.
Lastly, while Blizzard may have given fans several previews for "Diablo 3" patch 2.3.0, what the game developers failed to mention was the patch's release date. Gamers are now hoping that Blizzard will reveal more information during this week's GamesCom.
