Destiny: The Taken King New Content, Updates from Bungie May Upset Fans; Multiplayer Mode Gets a New Feature

By

As Destiny: The Taken King is clearly on its way to the next-gen world of consoles, numerous updates have been filling out the voids that come along with it. However, it has become a matter of asking whether the updates are good or not; as the developers give out vital news of what the game is bound to have before it is released.

Patrons of Destiny: The Taken King have kept their faith intact for the past number of installments that the series has. As reported by Gamerant, the new system, however, may not be as satisfactory as expected. Previous weapons of the installment may not be carried over to the next patch. This was further defended by Luke Smith, Bungie's Creative Director.

In an honest explanation, he said, "I definitely feel like some of our players are ready to play with some new toys. And we've built a whole bunch of new toys. There are definitely some weapons that you are going to find better versions of - there's going to be something that replaces that sniper rifle that you love."

The said news can be considered disappointing to the expectant fans who are at most, looking forward to the weaponry updates. Despite the fact that the team behind Destiny: The Taken King has put their backs unto making the game, it does not quite turn out as promised.

The different game levels and changes especially in the weapons are rather contributory to the game's welfare, according to a report by Game Informer. Fan favorites such as the Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence are close to somewhat being obsolete, and only the fans will be able to tell if this is a reasonable move for the game.

According to Game Spot, Bungie is developing the competitive multiplayer mode for Destiny: The Taken King, known as the Crucible. The implication of a mercy rule has been added to the system, wherein players who may be over or under-matched against another team is to be reset back to the selection process, thoroughly assigning the team to go with a more parallel skilled rival. This is another feature that may be questioned by fans as soon as the game is launched.

Destiny: The Taken King is slated for release next month. The reaction of the fans towards the game's updates is still hanging by a thread.
