Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales has finally finished filming in Australia, and actor Johny Depp was even seen feeding a baby bat in one centre. However, rumors have surfaced that it might be the last time for him to don the pirate costume as Disney is rumored to eyeing other actors to replace him in the role.
As reported by Gold Coast Bulletin, filming for the upcoming movie has finally finished. Director Joachim Ronning even posted a photo of himself in Chalkies Beach on Haselwood Island and captioned the photo saying, "That's a wrap on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales! Thank you,"
Johnny Depp, who plays the lead role of Captain Jack Sparrow was even spotted in the Australian Bat Clinic & Wildlife Trauma Centre where he fed a little orphaned baby bat while in his Jack Sparrow costume. The little bat was later named Jackie Sparrow, after Depp's character, as reported by Comicbook.com.
However, Depp, who has been playing the role of Jack Sparrow for many years now, is rumored to be replaced soon. According to Inquisitr, Disney is currently considering getting a different actor, and create future films without him.
Depp's replacement is reportedly due to the Depp's negative behavior on set, and his personal issues with his wife, Amber Heard who has been causing heightened tension in the set, making Depp distant and unfocused. Some of the actors who are reportedly considered to take the lead role are Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr., and Dan Stevens.
If proven true, the reason for Depp's replacement may be reasonable, however, reports have it that it might also affect the box office result of the franchise. Depp and Heard haven't commented on the issue yet. Disney has also not released any details about the truth of this issue about Depp's replacement.
Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales is directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, from the screenplay by Jeff Nathanson. The film's cast also includes Orlando Bloom, Kaya Scodelario, Stephen GRaham, Javier Bardem, and many others. It is set to hit theaters in July 07, 2017.
