Fallout 4 Has No Level Cap & Gamers Can Still Play After the Ending

By

Game developer Bethesda Studios has just announced earlier on their Twitter account that Fallout 4 players will still be able to play the game even if the game's main story concludes, as the game doesn't have a level cap.

As Polygon have quoted Bethesda Studios recent tweet, "To our fans who've asked: Fallout 4 doesn't end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling." Based on this information, Fallout 4 gamers will still be able to level up and continue to play even if they have already finished the game's main story. This also makes the game different from the previous Fallout games that all had level caps.

Bethesda was also noted saying that the enemy difficulty will be scaled upward alongside the player's level. Fallout 4 game director, Todd Howard, was quoted saying, "We call it rubberbanding; we'll have an area [where enemies scale from] level 5 to 10, and then this area will be level 30 and above."

In a review made by Games Radar, they find Fallout 4 close to being similar to Bethesda's latest title, Skyrim, as its players can keep on advancing their characters for as long as they want, with the Legendary skills system.

More details were revealed at Tech Radar as they shared other updates from the recently held Gamescom 2015. Fallout 4, as expected from the rumors, will be mainly set in Boston, Massachusetts, though the gamers will still be able to explore the Commonwealth area. Another first for the series is that, the protagonist will have a speaking role, and a dog for a companion. Todd Howard told the Quakecon audience that the game will be introducing a dozen new companions, who can join the protagonist in his travels and whom he will be able to romance with regardless of gender, just like in Skyrim's romancing system.

Fallout 4 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC in November 10 of this year. Check out Bethesda Studios' official Twitter account for more game updates.
