‘Mass Effect 4’ Updates: BioWare Talks New Andromeda Adventure, New Characters, Development Video Released

By

Fans have been eagerly awaiting for updates about "Mass Effect 4" and while news have been scarce of late, a few interesting information have managed to catch the attention of gamers. Some of it includes Bioware confirming the game will feature new characters and new adventures, as well as a special look at how developers are creating "Mass Effect 4."

Not a lot has been revealed about "Mass Effect 4" although Bioware's Aaryn Flynn and Mac Walters previously told the site arstechnica that the game will feature a new set of characters. Walters mentioned that it has been a Bioware and "Mass Effect" hallmark to introduce an interesting group of game characters, and something that they don't intend to stray far away from. He added that it was one of the things that made the project exciting, knowing that "Andromeda" will have new characters, new adventures and great stories that will come with that.

Bioware's Flynn also commented on how developers have learned from previous game installments regarding potential vehicle improvements that could be done for "Mass Effect 4." He added that the expertise gained from other EA games might also make its way into the game. "As much as we can, we will work with those guys, we will learn from them to get those kinds of mechanics and that kind of polish into the game," Flynn said.

Meanwhile, Bioware released a special behind-the-scenes clip late July, which showed just how game developers are working on creating "Mass Effect 4," Gaming Bolt reported. The video featured lead level designer Colin Campbell going about his daily tasks at the Bioware office.

On the other hand, "Mass Effect" producer Michael Gamble recently took to Twitter to share how the technological enhancements have given his team more freedom using the platforms PS4 and Xbox One, stated the Express. Gamble wrote, "Technology has opened up so many doors for us. For comparison, doing this scene in engine vs CG for ME3."

And while fans are hoping to hear more about "Mass Effect 4" during this week's GamesCom, unfortunately, "Andromeda" has so yet to make its appearance in the event.

"Mass Effect 4" is expected to hit game shelves during the holiday season of 2016.
