When gamers had their first hands-on experience of Tom Clancy's The Division during the GamesCom 2015 last August 6-9, it already received mixed reviews. From wanting it to come out than earlier announced to somehow un-wanting it because of some questions and confusion over Dark Zone, this "open-world RPG" is yet to be added to Tom Clancy's video game classics. The Division's beta version for XBOX One will be released in December, while for PC and PS4 early next year.
"When society falls, We rise" - so goes the mission of the classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, known as the "Strategic Homeland Division" (SHD) or simply "The Division." As explained and described in a Polygon report, this highly trained tactical group is designed to rescue the virus-ridden New York City, leaving the city in sheer chaos and utter panic while the pandemic has taken out a large chunk of the city. The group tries to trace the source of the breakout - which came from "banknotes that started to spread through human skin, food and toys, causing millions of people to become infected."
There are many locations for PVE encounters in the game but there are no other PVPs beside the Dark Zone, as clarified by Adabelle Combrink, Junior Gameplay Programmer, during a Community Q&A in Europe.
