The Colombian actress Sofia Vergara will be joining the longest-running cartoon comedy series, 'The Simpsons.' The voice over role is not a new thing for the Colombian actress as she already played the cartoon characters for The Cleveland Show and Family Guy.
Toronto sun reports Vergara will be the voice behind the character of Mrs. Berrera, Bart Simpson's teacher. She will be appearing on the episode entitled "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles." Vergara also stated that The Simpsons studios is just a walking distance away from The Modern Family set.
According to eonline, the episode got its title because Bart finds himself drinking milk which contains bad hormones that triggered his early maturation. He grew a mustache and felt hot for Mrs. Berrera.
In addition, there will be a love triangle on the episode involving Bart, the eldest child of The Simpsons. Bart is only ten years old and to think a boy is just having a normal crush on his teacher, the eldest Simpson kid feels more than that... Bart Simpson develops a crush on the newest teacher in school, Mrs. Berrera.
Unfortunately, Bart will be facing an emerging rivalry to win Mrs. Berrera's attention. His rival is none other than the school's head principal--Skinner. themalayonline reports, Bart and Skinner will come head to head as they try to win Mrs. Berrera's attention and affection.
On the contrary, Vergara's character notices Skinner more, she felt that the poor broken-hearted principal needed some emotional therapy. Plus, Bart and Mrs. Berrera's age gap is far from each other.
Moreover Al Jean, The Simpsons executive producer, said that they are glad to have her on the set. As of now, that is the only episode where Mrs. Berrera will appear. But Jean added that Vergara's character will have future appearances on the show. Vergara's voice is really funny which is a good fit on the cartoon comedy show.
