"Chicago PD" Season 3 promises to introduce a fresh face as it has been revealed that someone from the dark past of Voight will be appearing in the show's upcoming episode. The season will also be focusing on Erin as to how she gets past and moves one from what happened to her in Season 2.

Last season in "Chicago PD," Erin Lindsey, played by actress Sophia Bush, was seen quitting her job at the precinct. That will be the focus for Bush's role in Season 3 as reported by MNR Daily. According to the publication, showrunner Matt Olmstead shared that the loss that Erin is going through will actually push her to be with her mother.

The "misguided" mother of Erin will again be introduced in Season 3 and Markie Post will reprise the role. Basically, her mother pushed her to quit as she thought that being with her mother is where she belonged to begin with.

Olmstead added that Chicago PD Season 3 will be picking up from the day that Erin quit her job at the precinct. He teased that hopefully, Bush's character will only take a couple of episodes to realize that she wants to go back. The first episode will be entitled "Life Is Fluid" and it will focus on Erin dealing with her life as well as everyone else, Fashion & Style reported.

As for another fresh face, Youth Health mag reported that there will be a character named Eddie Little who will be played by Clancy Brown. He is someone from the shady past of Hank Voight, played by Jason Beghe.

Little and Voight actually met when they were both incarcerated. Little's introduction will be showing more information about Voight and he will immediately appear in the first episode of the show's third season.

"Chicago PD" Season 3 will be back on NBC this September 30. Do you think Erin will still find her way and realize that the precinct needs her? Sound off your comments below.
