Diablo 3 Latest Update: Blizzard Entertainment hints NEW DLC coming; Release announcement possible at Blizzcon 2015 in November

By

Blizzard Entertainment could be cooking up some special surprises for Diablo 3 fans at its very own game franchises' annual convention this year, Blizzcon 2015, which will be held on November 6 to 7. This theory came to light following the notable absence of the title at Gamescom last week and the announcement of World of Warcraft's latest expansion, 'Legion'.

The game developer must have some cards on the table for Diablo 3 and hinted that a new DLC is under way with the latest job listing on the Blizzard careers site. The said job posting is for the position of an art director on some unrevealed project where candidates must have "a passion for games with a deep understanding of the Diablo franchise."

No further details have been released as to what this next project will be, if it's either an expansion for Diablo 3 or a main title in the pipeline. Christian Post wrote that based on the development timeline surrounding the Diablo franchise, what is coming is a Diablo 3 DLC, although, rumors suggest that Blizzard Entertainment is up for a free-to-play spinoff.

IGN keenly took note that the announcement on other Blizzard games were made at last week's worldwide event in Germany except for the Diablo franchise. Hearthstone's new cards were unveiled, new characters to upcoming shooter Overwatch, and the Heroes in Heroes of the Storm including the epic reveal on top of things- the arrival of 'Legion' as the World of Warcraft latest expansion.

The absence of an update for the said game is viewed that the developer will be making some changes at this year's Blizzcon where Diablo 3 will become the star of the show this time with the announcement of the game's new DLC. This much anticipated convention is slated on November 6 and 7, hence, fans still have to buy more time before getting more solid details on this rather exciting news.
