YouTube channel Star Wars Korea released a new TV spot for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", featuring the powerful first order. Entertainment Weekly, on the other hand, has launched its August 21st to 28th issue with Adam Driver's villainous Kylo Ren on the cover. The upcoming seventh installment of the franchise is scheduled to open in cinemas this Christmas.
Four months before its long-awaited big screen premiere, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has gotten a 30-seconder TV spot in Korea last Sunday. While most of the shown clips were already seen in the previous trailers of the movie, the opening seconds of the video featured a new footage. According to CNET, the clip showed how strong the dark side has become, 30 years after the Empire's defeat in the Battle of Endor.
With Andy Serkis narrating in the background; thousands of Stromtroopers who belong to the First Order were looking up at the leaders of the evil organization which includes Captain Phasma (Gwendolyn Christie), General Hux (Domhall Gleeson), Supreme Leader Snoke (Serkis) and others. Several TIE fighters and what seem to be new AT-ATs are also featured in the background, suggesting how formidable the army is.
While Adam Driver's villainous character was nowhere in the intimidating opening scene, his Kylo Ren landed in a separate picture. Entertainment Weekly has recently released its August 21st to 28th issue featuring the hooded and masked villain with a badass lighstaber. As written in the cover, the said issue provides another set of exclusive photos and intel from the set of the highly anticipated film.
Meanwhile, episode VII will see the return of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker as their characters from the original trilogy. Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou will also appear in the movie.
Helmed by J.J. Abrams, "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" will debut on theaters in December 18. It will be followed on December 16, 2016 by "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One", "Star Wars: Episode VIII" on May 26, 2017, and the Han Solo anthology movie on May 25, 2018.
