Jared Leto has fueled rumors once again when he posted a photo in his social media account that is rumored to be a reference to the Joker in the novel "The Killing Joke". Rumors suggest that the character of Barbara Gordon might be killed in either Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad.
Rumors are making their rounds online once again after Jared Leto, who is set to play the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad, posted a silhouette photo of him wearing a hat that bears resemblance to the one worn by the Joker in "The Killing Joke".
According to Movie Pilot, the 1988 graphic novel was written by Alan Moore and was lauded and criticized since its release because of the brutal and sexual components incorporated in the story. The novel said to have presented the brutal version of the Clown Prince of Crime.
As reported by The Independent, in The Killing Joke, Barbara Gordon met a rather tragic fate as she was shot by Joker, and was stripped naked while the Joker took photos of her in pain and bleeding. He later showed it to her father, Commissioner Gordon who he later kidnapped.
Leto's "hint" caused speculations that rumors about Jena Malone appearing in DCEU as Barbara Gordon might be true. However, it is also worth noting that these rumors have not been confirmed and so must be treated with a grain of salt.
According to International Business Times, this is not the first time that Leto hinted of his Joker's connection to that of the one portrayed in The Killing Joke. A few months ago, Leto also posted a photo of himself, with green hair and holding a camera which also looked like the Joker shown in the cover of the said novel.
The trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hints that the Joker might appear in the upcoming movie, while he has also been confirmed to be seen in Suicide Squad after his iconic scene in trailer saying "Oh I'm not gonna kill you, I'm just gonna hurt you really, really bad". Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice is expected to be released in March 25, 2016. While fans can look for Suicide Squad in theaters in August 06, 2016.
