"The Flash" Season 2 will be featuring news faces and it includes the female version of Doctor Light. Jay Garrick, played by Teddy Sears, will be introduced as well and fans of the show will know more about this character.
According to Blastr, the CW hit series will be adding the female version of Doctor Light in the second season as they feel it will be more heroic. This is due to the fact that Doctor Light was introduced as a villain named Arthur Light in the show "Arrow" and he also pestered the Teen Titans. "The Flash" creator shared in a statement that the new metahuman character also known as Dr. Kimiyo Hoshi will be seen in the upcoming episodes of the show.
It is said that Dr. Kimiyo Hoshi married Arthur Light in the comics but it is yet to be known if this will be touched in the show. It remains unknown if Arthur Light will also be seen in the Season 2 of "The Flash" and if he will be an ally to Barry Allen and the rest of the S.T.A.R. Lab folks.
The Doctor is described as an arrogant but brilliant scientist and has worked with S.T.A.R. Labs before and became an on-again-off-again member of the Justice League International. While part of the team, she became friends with Wally West. It is yet to be known if the female version of Doctor Light will be a series regular in "The Flash" and who will be the actress playing the said role, Design & Trend reported.
As for the other speedster that will be introduced in the show's upcoming season, it is said that Jay Garrick, played by Teddy Sears will be racing with Barry Allen and they will be having a face-to-face confrontation. In the DC Comics Universe, Garrick was the first character to ever hold the mantle of The Flash but it is said that in the latest issue, he is this semi-retired crime-fighter and is much older than Barry Allen, Mstarz reported.
A photo showing Barry Allen and Jay Garrick racing to help a person in need was uploaded on the show's official Facebook page. The caption reads, "Get ready for worlds to collide when Jay Garrick arrives on #TheFlash!"
"The Flash" Season 2 will be premiering on October 6, 8 P.M. on The CW.
