'Agent Carter' season 2 will see the beloved Peggy battles against the numerous villains in Los Angeles. One of the baddies next season is a female named Madame Masque and speculated to be Carter's new nemesis. Meanwhile, show's executive producer Tara Butters recently revealed that Peggy's relationship with Jarvis and Howard is something to look forward throughout the season.
There will be more intense and dramatic scenes to happen in 'Agent Carter' season 2. Previous reports all suggest that the upcoming will be much darker than before. And one of the villains who will spread darkness next season is a female.
We have previously reported that the female villain is no other than Madame Masque (real name: Betty Frost). She is an expert markswoman, a skilled fighter, a master strategist and a robotics expert at the same time. The site notes that she would be a perfect match for Peggy.
In an interview with SlashFilm, 'Agent Carter' executive producer Tara Butters revealed and described their version of Madame Masque as "very much a Marvel villain that we co-opted a little bit like we did Dr. Fennhoff in the first season." Butters added that both Carter and Masque are equally powerful.
Meanwhile, Peggy's relationship with Jarvis and Howard will go deeper in 'Agent Carter' season 2. Butters answered "The fact that her relationship with Jarvis and friendship with Howard, these are all things that play on in our universe," when asked if to greater Marvel universe in the next season.
Additionally, Madame Masque will not be the only one causing havoc for Peggy in 'Agent Carter' Season 2. She will have to face off numerous bad guys. "People who are fans of the Marvel comic-book universe will recognize our villain, and there's more than one villain," executive producer Michelle Fazekas revealed Entertainment Weekly in July. "We're certainly taking inspiration from the comic-book universe, so anybody who knows that will be rewarded."
