Pixar's head honcho John Lasseter teases "great" storyline for Brad Bird's long awaited "The Incredibles 2". Legitimate Information about the sequel is said to be revealed in two years' time.
There might be no specifics regarding "The Incredibles 2" for now, but Pixar still tries to keep the appetite of the fans and viewers stimulated with tiny bits of teasers. Recently, Pixar head John Lasseter shared a brief behind-the-scene insight about the highly anticipated sequel. "He [Brad Bird] has found a really great story," Lasseter tells Zap2it at Disney D23 Expo 2015. "We're just starting to develop it." According to the Chief Creative Officer of the studio, the director is already set to work on the movie now that his latest film "Tomorrowland" has already premiered. "We're really excited about it," he said.
Though Lasseter did not provide further information, he did explain why "The Incredibles 2" was not tackled in this year's expo. "We didn't talk about it today at the D23 Expo because we have another D23 Expo before that one comes out," he clarified. During the event, what the studio has only presented is the movie poster for the Brad Bird-helmed sequel. As for the rest of the details including its release, Lasseter said: "You'll hear about it in two years".
As previously reported, "The Incredibles 2" is rumored to center on the youngest member of the supers, Jack-Jack, who grows up as a villain. The original movie's main enemy, Syndrome, will then take advantage of this transformation and is said to manipulate the boy to turn against his own family. The fans are expecting that the upcoming movie may premiere in November 22, 2017 or June 15, 2018 -two dates Pixar has set for its undisclosed projects. But with Lasseter's statement, it looks like the movie will open in cinemas not anytime soon.
