Nexus series is making its mark again with the upcoming release of Nexus 5 by LG. Recent leaks suggest new and interesting features for the Nexus 5. These leaks include the phone's hardware composition.
USwitch revealed that Nexus 5 2015 edition will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, just below the camera. This feature is one of the biometric security systems keeping the phone protected. The new phone will also offer a 5.2-inch screen with protruding camera. Its size is 146.9mm high, 72.9mm wide and 18mm thick without the protruding camera. Thus, the phone can be as thick as a slim watch and as tall as the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus by Samsung.
For those who are music lovers, LG Nexus 5 (2015) might be the best phone because of its dual-stereo speakers. Transferring of data through USB is also possible because of its USB Type-C port, USwitch added.
To further describe the phone, NDTV mentioned that LG Nexus 5 (2015) will have a 3.5mm audio jack and a charging slot at the right panel. Sim card slot will also be located at the left panel, respectively.
Related report also stated that the new Nexus phone had a score of 85530 in the recent AnTuTu benchmark listing. According to AnTuTu, this score was the mobile phone that has the highest score so far. For those who are not familiar, AnTuTu benchmarking is a software tool for phones based on the ARM architecture which is in hand related to programming. Its purpose is to test handset's parts and to give an overall score according to its capabilities. Therefore, high overall score means excellent phone's capabilities.
On one hand, Google Nexus 5 powered by LG might be coming out this October or November, Christian Post noted. Nevertheless, neither Google nor LG has any comment at the moment about the unveiling date, and specifications and features of Nexus 5 2015 edition.
Google and LG will surely get another hit to Nexus series through the release of Nexus 5 (2015).
