The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC Update: CD Project RED adds surprise twist in NEW Game Plus Mode; Title's expansion pass costs $20

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt New Game Plus DLC can now be downloaded for Xbox One and PC versions. The Xbox One received the add-on ahead of the PC while the PS4 is to receive the said DLC shortly.

On the official Steam website, details on Game Plus DLC announcement read, "Hungry for more action? Start a new game with all the skills and items from your previous playthrough, get better loot, slay even more ferocious beasts and relive the epic fantasy adventure that is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!"

According to Gamepur. the new Game Plus mode allows players to start a new game with their readily activated skills and a potion if in case they want to get to a new build but without their precious Gwent cards, .

IB Times further reports that the latest expansion added to the game will enable gamers who have already finished The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to repeat the game experience by starting over the game, not empty handed, but they carry with them character's developed skill sets and some items gained which are inclusive of recipes, gears, as well as money.

In this New Game Plus mode, however, the player's trophies, the usable items, and the collected Gwent cards are not retained. Although, the developer has included a new twist where villains in this add-on are now even more difficult to defeat.

Following this DLC are two more expansion packs namely, Hearts of Stone featuring Shani will be coming out in October and the other oneis Blood and Wine expected to be released in the first quarter of 2016.

Hearts of Stone will provide 10 hours of gameplay while Blood and Wine have 20 hours of exciting new content. Both of these DLC packs cost $25 and will be included in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion pass.
