Josh Gad reveals his eldest daughter, Ava, will probably give him tips for Disney's "Frozen 2". The voice actor who played Olaf says he is proud of the musical film's success. The highly anticipated sequel will reportedly open in cinemas on 2018.
There may still have three more years left before Queen Elsa, Princess Anna and their Arendelle crew officially return to the big screen, but the fans are already excited for the sequel's premiere. One of those fans who are enthusiastically waiting for "Frozen 2" is Josh Gad's eldest daughter, Ava. It turns out that the actor's 5-year-old princess may have a few suggestions for his daddy's upcoming movie. "I'm sure when I actually start working on it full-time, she'll have tips," the actor said in an interview. Though there are no ideas for now, he is certain that there will be many suggestions later on as her daughter is "very imaginative".
The "Wedding Ringer" funnyman also expressed how overwhelmed he is by the astounding success "Frozen" has achieved. Irish examiner notes that the 2013 musical film which grossed over $1.2 billion bagged two Academy Awards, as well, as Golden Globe, Bafta, and Grammy honors. "I feel enormously proud (of it)," he said. "Olaf, Elsa and Anna have influenced so many young children in the way that Ariel, Aladdin, Sebastian and Belle and Simba influenced my generation."
Josh voiced the fan-favorite snowman, Olaf, in Disney's 2012 blockbuster animated film and is slated to reprise the role in its upcoming sequel. Though the Mouse House has not released its official synopsis yet, director Chris Buck already revealed that the film will still center on the two female leads. But as previously reported, it will tackle societal issues that the people are facing today. The 34-year-old actor will be joined by the original film's returning cast which includes Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff).
The studio and producers have not given yet the exact premiere date of "Frozen 2" but it is expected to hit theaters by 2018.
