Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green split up after five years of marriage and nearly 11 years together. The actress and her long term partner reportedly went their separate ways six months ago. The couple are said to fell out love because the actress was always away from home, making many films.
"Megan and Brian have decided to separate," a source close to the couple told People. "They will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. " The source assured that anything could happen in the future, but for now the Fox and Green decided it's best to take some time apart from each other.
"Megan has separated from Brian," an insider also revealed in the new issue of Us Weekly. "They decided on it six months ago." Their romance seemed to be recently weighed down with rumors after Fox has been away from home filming numerous movies. Al though the source claimed that the exact cause of their split was unclear. The source revealed, "things have been rocky."
The "Jennifer's Body" actress was reportedly spending her summer in New York filming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while her hubby, Brian, stayed at home looking after their sons. The sources said: "They fight about her career." They also added, "She was obsessed with getting roles. She has gone off and done her own thing recently."
The pair first met on the set of "Hope & Faith" in 2004 and initially became engaged in 2006. They called off their engagement in 2009, with Fox saying "marriage isn't a realistic goal". After a brief split, they became engaged once again in 2010 and married just 24 days in Hawaii after Green proposed.
The couple was married for five years and have two sons together, namely Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months. Green also has a son named Kassius, 13, which is from a previous relationship. The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actress also opened up on the reality of having a married life. "You can't live in a fantasy land and think that everything's going to be perfect all the time," she told Men's Health in 2014. "You will go through phases where you're just not getting along. You're not communicating well," she continued.
Although the two parties have not commented on the reports, the couple as still seen in public, holding hands as they left a restaurant in June.
